Why It Works
-
Real‑time collaboration: BCBAs guide providers in the moment, not just with checklists
-
Consistency: Plans align with classroom routines and goals, not generic templates
-
Unified team: When adults are on the same page, students make steadier progress

School Coordination & Permissions
-
With your consent, we speak with your child’s teacher, related service providers, and school administrators
-
We review IEP/IESP, evaluations, and behavior data
-
We align on observations and next steps that fit NYC DOE routines
What we’ll ask from you:
Parent/guardian consent to connect with the school, a copy of the IEP/IESP (if available), and preferred times to observe.
Observation & Assessment
-
A licensed BCBA observes in class, transitions, etc.
-
We gather data on triggers, skills, and current supports
-
When appropriate, we conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to identify why behaviors occur
Plan: Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
-
Individualized BIP aligned to IEP/IESP goals and classroom expectations
-
Strategies focus on teaching replacement skills, preventing problem behaviors, and reinforcing positive behaviors
-
We review the plan with you and the school team so everyone knows how to help your child succeed
